After careful consultation between our Board of Commissioners and the RiverFest Event Committee regarding the health and safety of everyone involved – our employees, volunteers, vendors and the attendees of our event – we have arrived, with much sadness, at the difficult decision to cancel RiverFest 2020, scheduled for August 28th through 30th. While we know this is disappointing, we hope you can understand the steps we are taking to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. We are very disappointed that we are unable to host this year’s event, but we know it’s the right decision based on the information we have today.
We thank everyone who has attended in the past and we look forward to seeing you, along with new faces, next summer. Muhlenberg Township will continue to push the creative envelope to help grow RiverFest each year and 2021 will be no exception.
Thank you for your continued support and please continue to follow the safety guidelines in place. Practice social distancing, wear your mask in public and be kind to one another.
