The 5th Street Highway/Allentown Pike Corridor Revitalization Plan provides a detailed blueprint that enables Muhlenberg Township to create an inviting and vibrant corridor that encourages people to live, work, play, and visit.
Muhlenberg Township is presented with the unique opportunity to develop two new significant park sites to complement its existing park system. Through the Township’s commitment to parks and recreation and its foresight to seize unique opportunities, two significant riverfront properties totally over 270 acres will be available to citizens for generations to come. This master plan of Jim Dietrich Park and Riverside Basin Park will formalize a vision for the parks, creating flagship recreation facilities for the municipality and major destinations along the 128-mile Schuylkill River National and State Heritage Area.
The Muhlenberg Township Comprehensive Plan Update has been prepared to provide direction and guidance for future growth, development, revitalization, and preservation efforts for this generation, as well as the next generation.
